Tecnolines Italia S.r.l., through its Data Controller, Data Processors and appointed third parties, follows the principles set out below in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679. The company considers them fundamental to transparency and to the respect of the natural and legal persons it interacts with:
- The protection of natural persons in relation to the processing of personal data is a fundamental right. Article 8(1) of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (the «Charter») and Article 16(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union («TFEU») provide that everyone has the right to the protection of personal data concerning them.
- The principles and rules protecting natural persons in relation to the processing of personal data should respect their fundamental rights and freedoms, in particular the right to the protection of personal data, whatever their nationality or residence.

The right to the protection of personal data is not an absolute right: it must be considered in relation to its function in society and be balanced against other fundamental rights, in accordance with the principle of proportionality.
Taking into account the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing, as well as the risks to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, the company adopts technical and organisational measures to protect them, applying the following principles:
- Lawfulness, processing based on consent and on contractual necessity.
- Fairness, processing based on informed consent.
- Transparency, with the purposes of processing clearly stated.
- Minimisation, adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the stated purposes.
- Accuracy, free of errors and kept up to date where required.
- Storage limitation, processed in a manner compatible with the purposes for which the data are collected and kept for no longer than necessary.
- Integrity, kept undamaged throughout the retention period.
- Confidentiality, not disclosed without explicit consent.
All personnel carrying out processing operations on personal data are periodically informed and updated on the measures adopted, and sign off on the measures and practices to be applied.
